About

A professor supervising Ph.D. students at “Tun Abdul Razak University” (UNIRAZAK) while facilitating postgraduate programs with other universities and conducting corporate training with industry.

She also spoke and judged at local and international conferences, competitions, and events. Her career started in a market research company “Survey Research Malaysia” Nielsen. She has more than 15 years of experience in the Asia Pacific region in various industries, mainly telecommunications and Finance. Her works also involved corporate strategy, e-business, marketing, and transforming business processes between the PEOPLE (employees), PRODUCTS, PARTNERS, and CUSTOMERS by enhancing customer satisfaction levels and ultimately resulting in enhanced Business Relationships, reduced costs, processes, and increased revenue.

She was also the Chief Strategy Information Officer (CSIO) with a listed company. She is also affiliated with a few technology transfer offices globally besides advisors with a few associations. The reviewer and on the editorial board with a few international journals.

She has won numerous Asia Pacific ICT Awards (incl the prestigious ICT Oscar award) and the only ASIAN who voted 1 of the Top 3 favorites at Next Bank Asia. She is the 1st Malaysian to receive the Asia Pacific Next Generation Leadership Award and made it to the Top 15 of the world’s most promising young science and technology by Global Innovation through Science Technology led by the U.S. Department of State and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Her hobbies include sports, the outdoors, traveling, and photography. She has won travel essay and photography contests besides being a national sportswoman and received the Gold Award for the National Physical Fitness program. She was a trained instructor for the Air Taser (Star War-style non-lethal weapon) technology. Her mission is to build a positive environment and contribute to the Caring, Loving, and Sharing (CLAS) society where dreams become alive with business ventures and the technologies that make life special.

Prof Dr. PC Lai was the Scholarship holder for both her doctorates (DBA and Ph.D. with Distinction), MBA in finance (Leicester-UK), Business Information Technology (TVU-UK) a Chartered Marketer (CIM-UK) by profession with “Train the trainer certification” (HRDF) and was the Head of Innovation with UM Centre for Innovation and commercialization as well as Research Fellow with UM Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation).
