Programme Overview

UNIRAZAK’s Diploma in Psychology allows students to explore the field of psychology before making that leap into undergraduate studies or the workplace. The diploma has been designed for
programme graduates to become professionally trained in theories, knowledge, skills, and research methods in psychology. The programme offers students a solid foundation in core psychological principles to expose them to a broad cross-section of topics within fundamental and applied studies.

Entry Requirements

SPM

  • Possess Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with a minimum of THREE (3) credits in any subjects and a pass in Mathematics and Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science; OR

STPM

  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any subject and a pass in Mathematics and Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science at the SPM level; OR

STAM

  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul and a pass in Mathematics and Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science at the SPM level; OR

SKM

  • A pass in SKM Level 3 (MQF) in the relevant field. The UNIRAZAK Senate will conduct a screening process and may require applicants to complete appropriate bridging courses in Mathematics and Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science; OR

Other Qualifications

  • A Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in the relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a pass in Mathematics and Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science at the SPM level; OR
  • Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Government of Malaysia.
  • Admission through Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL A).

> Notes

  • Applicants must have a pass in Mathematics and Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science at the SPM level or equivalent qualifications.
  • The requirement may be waived if applicants possess higher qualifications containing Mathematics and Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science subjects with an equivalent or higher achievement.
  • Applicants without a pass or credit in Mathematics and/or Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science at the SPM level (or equivalent) may be admitted but are required to attend remedial enhancement courses. These courses are equivalent to the SPM level and must be passed before enrolling in the related core courses taught in English.

> International Applicants

  • A minimum score of Band 4.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); OR
  • A minimum score of 30–31 in the Internet-Based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT); OR
  • A minimum score of 5 in TOEFL Essentials (Online); OR
  • A minimum score of Low B1 (140) in the Linguaskill Test; OR
  • A minimum score of 36 in the Pearson Test of English (PTE); OR
  • A minimum score of B1 (140) in the Cambridge English Qualifications and Tests; OR
  • A minimum score of Band 3 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET); OR
  • Successful attainment of B1 (140) in CEFR-aligned examinations by Cambridge English Qualifications conducted by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE).

> Note

A conditional offer letter will be issued to an international student who has not yet met the English proficiency requirement.
