CPA Australia will be working together with long-time partner, Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) to further empower aspiring professional accountants with a holistic overview of the Malaysian tax sector.

CPA Australia Malaysia Division Country Head, Priya Terumalay said the move to collaborate with UNIRAZAK to offer the Malaysian Tax module is timely.

“We want to play a more active role in providing an industry-standard viewpoint of our tax system to the next generation of professional accountants. We are proud to partner with UNIRAZAK in this effort to broaden the understanding of the Malaysian tax system and increase the avenues available for those interested in taking this module,” she said.

UNIRAZAK Vice Chancellor, YBhg. Professor Datin Paduka Dr Samsinar Md Sidin expressed pride that UNIRAZAK’s Malaysian Taxation course has been recognised as an equivalent to an elective subject for the CPA Program.

“This simply translates to us being on the right tract to educating our students and enhancing their experiences for the future. We would like to thank CPA Australia for their continuous support and recognition and look forward to this new phase,” she said.

Those who sign up to do the Malaysian Tax module with UNIRAZAK will be exempted from an elective at the point of registering for the CPA Program.
