This course is to prepare teachers with strong communication skills and become professional ECE practitioners. This course will cover the role of educators in the early childhood education program as a professional, who knows to handle the ECE matters professionally. In becoming professional ECE practitioners, there are few important areas that needed communication skills to facilitate the professional development and communication between teachers and children, among or between practitioners, colleagues, parents, and the community in general. It incorporates elements of Business Communications that will facilitate positive and healthy correspondence and interaction skills between the two parties. Students will learn Communication Skills, Instructional Skills, and People Skills to help them be effective and efficient in the relevant areas of communication.

• Distinguish appropriate language in engaging with verbal communication with children, parents, colleagues and the community
• Prepare correspondence written documents such as cover letters, memorandum, Reports, and Minutes of Meetings.
• Prepare and present professional resume/curriculum vitae and resume that illustrates professional development.
