This course explores the concepts and application of strategic management in a competitive business environment. The strategy process demands the mastery of a body of analytical tools and the ability to take an integrative point of view. Students develop these skills through in-depth analysis of industries and competitors; prediction of competitive behaviour; techniques for analyzing how firms can develop and sustain competitive advantage over time. The course focuses on strategy formulation, implementation, evaluation and control as well as sustaining factors such as innovation, leadership and entrepreneurship.
