This course aims to provide an outlook over sales promotion as a marketing discipline from the perspectives of both a practitioner and an academic. It aims to alter the notion of sales promotion is a merely a short-term advantageous solution to a variety of marketing problems. With the level of expenditure on sales promotion growing rapidly, this course will help students to recognize the strategic role that sales promotion can fulfill in the entirety of marketing initiatives

  • Demonstrate sales promotion strategies to motivate prospective consumers to try the products and services offered by business organization.
  • Apply concepts in sales promotion to undertake sales promotion activities to ensure the business organization remain competitive.
  • Integrate knowledge and skills in sales promotion to increase consumer demand, to get potential buyers to heed a call to action, increase the size of purchases and improve product availability using media and non-media marketing communications.
