Effective teaching and learning are contextual in nature. This course provide learners with research skills to improve professional practices as educators at the work place through a systematic action research design. This course covers the data collection procedures, data analyses and action plan to improve educational practices. Student will learn journal writing skills to share the findings with professional learning community.

• Discuss issues and challenges related to professional practices as educators
• Develop research tools and procedures to collect qualitative and/ or quantitative data
• Plan and implement intervention strategies to improve professional practice based on research evidence
• Disseminate action research to community of learning through oral presentation and journal writing
