Synopsis

This course discusses various curriculum approaches in terms of information about philosophical, historical, psychological, and social foundations of curriculum. This course prepare students to make decisions about best practices that could be implemented in the classroom as a part of the teaching and learning process. In addition, this course also explores, search beads methods for implementing instruction based upon the work of theorists that have presented pedagogy according to strategies and methodologies proven to be effective.

Learning Outcomes

  • Discuss the relationship between educational theory and practices in planning instruction
  • Create learning objectives, learning outcomes and a lesson plan with required content with ideas associated with Blooms Taxonomy
  • Study instruction related to the implementation of differentiated instruction for catering learners with diverse needs
  • Explain trend and issue of curriculum development and implementation in Malaysia
