This course introduces students to the field of Malaysian employment and industrial relations laws. After students are introduced to the “players” in employment and industrial relations laws, they learn about the related and important aspects in employment and industrial relations laws. This is latterly expanded to include issues in employment and industrial relations laws. Students are exposed to employment and industrial relations law issues, such as legal actions by each other. It is common in the management-employee relationships, employees’ grievances, and terms and conditions of service, especially in unionized companies. This is especially so as they practice the “collective bargaining” approach.
