The course discusses evolution of management accounting and different techniques of strategic management accounting in contemporary business environment. The topics covered include performance evaluation, management control, motivational, behavioural and ethical issues as well as recent developments in management accounting.

• Apply standard costing technique and interpret variances, including planning and operating variances for control purposes.
• Apply the concept of relevant costs and revenues in short term decision making process and long term capital budgeting of the organisation.
• Apply the strategic management tools to help organisation to work more efectively and measure the performance of the company by appliying the performance measuremnt system.
