Synopsis

This course will introduce to students the basic elements of accounting such as accounting convention and concepts, types of accounts, double entry bookkeeping, and preparation of simple financial statements.

Learning Outcomes

Explain basic elements of accounting such as accounting convention and concepts.
Demonstrate skill in Illustrate the double-entry bookkeeping concepts.
Demostrate the application of year end adjustment in the financial statements of sole trade and bank reconciliation.
