This course offers an introduction to macro-economics. The emphasis is on the relevance of economics to the understanding of topical issues, especially those with a policy element.

• Explain the principal macroeconomic concepts and theories to the analyse of real life economics problems.
• Analyse macroeconomic policy, distinguishing judgments of fact from those of value.
• Propose solution through presentation on the systems of resource allocation and distribution and government macroeconomic stabilization policy in market- and mixed economies.
