Synopsis

The course exposes the classical and operant conditionings and instructional design based on these theories; social, cognitive and constructivist learning theories and instructional design based on these theories; integrating learning and motivation theories into teaching and learning and the instructional design for this integration; and critical and creative thinking and instructional design for teaching them.

Learning Outcomes

  • Create lesson plans using Instructional Design Model related to theories of learning and educational psychology
  • Demonstrate teaching activities based on social, cognitive and constructivist learning theories to a specified subject matter
  • Review published journals on successful educational psychology methods or approaches that have been proven to be successful in changing the behavior of learners
  • Prepare a workable teaching framework where ICT, values, critical creative, and reflective thinking can be integrated in the planning of the lessons
