The purpose of the course is to strengthen the students’ ability to prepare academic assignments with the view to writing of a Master’s Project that meets the academic standards of the MPP degree programme. For this purpose, the course further build up on the research methodology and help develop the student’s knowledge and proficiency and skills in selected key theories and methods within the proposed master’s project.
Through detailed study of a selected topic, focus is placed on the ability to apply and assess, as well as to discuss and present, theoretical and methodical resources and factual knowledge.

• demonstrate knowledge of selected topics, their relevant research literature, tools of analysis, methods, theories and issues. relevant to student’s selected topics for the Master’s Project.
• Identify gaps in contextual, theoretical, methodological and strategies in the selected area.
• Perform independent topic-related literature searches and selections, and assess and apply different types of primary and secondary sources to the selected topic.
• Display communication in a coherent, well-argued and comprehensible manner at a high level of academic precision.
• Construct an outline of quality academic research on the basis of knowledge and skills acquired during the course, as basis for the Master’s Project.
