This course is a core course in the programme and enables students to think strategically and act entrepreneurially in positioning their ventures.

• Recognise that entrepreneurship involves a pattern of decisions that the entrepreneur must identify, analyze, resolve and follow through.
• Prepare a framework of thinking for clarifying issues that are important in a business situation, for indicating the decisions that might be relevant to it and for identifying the information needed before a good decision can be made.
• Give their entrepreneurial venture a direction, that is, deciding what the business will ‘be about’ and the strategy it will adopt.
