Synopsis

This course introduces the elements of testing, assessments and evaluation essential to good teaching. Testing and evaluation in education plays a pivotal role in the instructional process and that its effectiveness depends on the teacher's ability to construct and select valid evaluation instrument.

Learning Outcomes

Discuss the basic elements of assessments in the classroom context
Develop items for multiple-choice questions (MCQ)/objective-test questions
Devise items for structured/subjective/essay questions
Evaluate samples of assessment and data of assessment
