UNIRAZAK has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Shaanxi Institute of International Trade and Commerce, China, in a significant move to foster education, science, and cultural collaboration between China and Malaysia. This partnership, built on principles of equality and mutual benefit, aims to enhance both nations' economic and social development through academic cooperation.
Professor Ding Deke, Executive Chairman of Shaanxi Institute of International Business and Trade, and several delegates from Shaanxi attended the signing ceremony. Representing UNIRAZAK was Vice Chancellor YBhg. Professor Datin Paduka Dr. Samsinar Md. Sidin and Chief Operating Officer En. Mohammad Fairuz, who was accompanied by other university representatives.
A key contributor to this initiative was the late Prof. Benjamin Chan Yin Fah, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Research and Partnership, whose efforts were instrumental in building the foundation for this partnership. His commitment to strengthening academic and cultural bonds between institutions left an enduring mark on UNIRAZAK's international collaboration efforts. His leadership continues to be felt as UNIRAZAK grows its global partnerships, especially with Shaanxi.
The MoU between UNIRAZAK and Shaanxi Institute of International Trade and Commerce facilitates collaboration on undergraduates, master's, and doctoral programmes, along with academic seminars, research, and exchange activities. It emphasises student and young scientist exchanges, offering internships, research collaborations, and hands-on learning.
The collaboration between UNIRAZAK and Shaanxi Institute of International Trade and Commerce positions both institutions as key contributors to cross-cultural education and economic development in the region, fostering academic growth and enhancing the global standing of both China and Malaysia.
