About me

  • Always wanted to be an educator from her time at the university; upon graduation, she was offered to further her studies in Master of Education and a post at a Ministry of Education higher institution.
  • She began her career working as an academic at a technical tertiary education institution where most of its students were of rural and/or low SES and could be categorized as academically low performers.
  • Serving as students’ affairs officer, opportunities cropped up for more training sessions as a trainer/ facilitator with academic underachiever school children.
  • Consulting families/ parents who had academically underachiever school children triggered her interest to assist both families and children to achieve better outcomes from the education system/ life in general.
  • Researching the field of education as a trainer/ consultant led her to believe that education must begin at a very early age and that it is the responsibility of all entities, living and non-living, in the environment.
  • Gradually she embarked on her research journey in education as a doctoral student to investigate how to translate theories into practice to minimize the gaps between scientific methodology and cultural/ popular beliefs.
  • Having served as an academic in a ‘research university’, the Ministry of Higher Education locally, she wishes to carry out her work within postgraduate levels programs; and to establish partnerships with industry players.
