Programme Overview

UNIRAZAK’s Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) is a premier professional doctoral program designed for experienced executives, senior managers, and professionals who aspire to enhance their expertise and lead strategic change in the business world.

Structured to integrate advanced coursework with rigorous research, the program equips candidates with the analytical, leadership, and strategic decision-making skills necessary to tackle complex business challenges in a dynamic global environment.

Spanning across 3 years, the DBA program offers a flexible mode of study, available in Full-Time or Part-Time, with weekend classes to cater to working professionals. The teaching and learning approach combines lectures, tutorials, and dissertation supervision, ensuring a balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

> Admission Requirements

  1. A Master's Degree (Level 7, Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF)) in a related field as accepted by the UNIRAZAK Senate; OR
  2. A Master's Degree (Level 7, MQF) in a non-related field as accepted by the UNIRAZAK Senate, subject to having relevant working experience* and passing a rigorous internal assessment**; OR
  3. A Master's Degree (Level 7, MQF) in a non-related field as accepted by the UNIRAZAK Senate, without relevant working experience*, subject to successfully completing the required pre-requisite courses***; OR
  4. Other qualifications equivalent to a Master's Degree (Level 7, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government.

> International Applicants

  • Achieve a minimum of Band 4 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET), or an equivalent qualification at the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) – Mid B2.
  • Applicants who do not meet this requirement will be required to undertake English proficiency courses offered by UNIRAZAK to ensure that their English language proficiency is sufficient to meet the programme requirements.

> Notes

  • * Relevant working experience may be accumulated before obtaining the required qualification for the particular level of study. However, the experience must be relevant to both the programme level and its content.
  • ** Rigorous internal assessment will be conducted to evaluate the suitability of the applicant.

> Programme Structure

The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme requires a total of 80 credit hours to be completed within 3–4 years.
