Programme Overview

The Master of Education in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) is designed for those passionate about helping non-native English speakers succeed. This program equips graduates to teach English to both young learners and adults, whether they are learning the language in school or aiming to improve their skills for future career opportunities.

A TESL qualification opens doors to a wide range of career paths. Graduates can work as English language teachers in schools, or support recent immigrants in English-speaking countries like the USA, UK, Australia, and Canada. Beyond teaching, this postgraduate program also prepares students for leadership and strategic roles in education, including course design, curriculum planning, management, administration, and policy-making.

TESL is particularly valuable for those intending to teach English in their home country, and it is recognised and respected across Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Canada.
